These Terms of Service govern your use of flatrateassembly.com and the furniture assembly services provided by Flat Rate Furniture Assembly LLC ("Flat Rate Assembly", "we", "us"). By booking a service, you agree to these terms.

Services

Flat Rate Assembly provides professional furniture assembly services in New York City. Prices are quoted per item based on the furniture type and complexity. The quoted price is the price you pay — no hidden fees or hourly charges — unless the scope of work changes after arrival.

Booking and Deposit

• A 50% deposit is required to confirm your booking.
• The remaining 50% balance is due after the assembly is complete and you are satisfied.
• Deposits are processed securely via Stripe.
• Your booking is confirmed once the deposit payment is accepted.

Cancellation and Refund Policy

• Free cancellation: Cancel at least 24 hours before your scheduled appointment for a full deposit refund.
• Late cancellation (less than 24 hours): The deposit may be forfeited or applied to a rescheduled appointment.
• No-show by client: If we arrive and cannot access the property or the job cannot proceed through no fault of ours, the deposit may be forfeited.
• Rescheduling: Appointments may be rescheduled free of charge with at least 24 hours notice.

Our Responsibility

Flat Rate Assembly is fully insured with $1,000,000 General Liability coverage. If any damage occurs to your property or furniture during the assembly process due to our fault, we will repair or replace the damaged item at no additional cost to you.

We are not responsible for pre-existing damage to furniture or property, or for damage caused by incorrect assembly instructions provided by the manufacturer.

Customer Responsibilities

• Ensure the assembly space is clear and accessible before our arrival.
• Confirm that all furniture boxes, parts, and hardware are present before the assembler begins.
• If your building requires a Certificate of Insurance (COI), notify us at least 48 hours in advance.
• Payment of the remaining balance is due immediately upon completion of the service.

Price Changes

The quoted price applies to the specific items selected during booking. If additional items or complexity are discovered on-site (e.g., a murphy bed requiring wall mounting not previously disclosed), a revised price will be discussed before work begins.

Service Area

We serve all five NYC boroughs: Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx, and Staten Island. Service availability and same-day slots are subject to scheduling.
